Useful English and Maths

Here's an off the wall thought.
Instead of calling things Functional Skills why not call it what it is:

USEFUL ENGLISH AND MATHS

or perhaps

USEFUL STUFF WITH WORDS AND NUMBERS

or for short

USEFUL STUFF

I've got a level two in "useful stuff" - go on sounds great doesn't it.
And the kids would love it, at least my kids would.

Q: What did you do at school today
A: Just useful stuff
